Iron Railing for a Composite Deck

by Randy
(Michigan)

I am putting up a deck using composite deck boards, mainly to reduce the required maintenance. We have a horse farm and I have all the maintenance projects I need. I have been looking at using iron spindles and would like to secure to composite top and bottom boards. Is there any systems made for this?

Iron Rail and Baluster Companies
by: Editor - Rich Bergman

There are a number of iron baluster (spindles) that can be used with wood or composite top and bottom rails. One that I am thinking of in particular is Fortress Iron Rail company. I believe they are based out of Dallas but they hot dip galvanize their iron and then powder coat it for a very tough long lasting finish.
