Help!
by: Anonymous

I didn't make the original post, but we have a dampness issue in our basement and I'm trying to find alternative flooring for that area.

Would composite decking work? I'd like to keep the ceiling height as tall as possible. Could I paint it white so it looks painted pine flooring?

Decking

If you are using it inside I would recommend using real wood. It will be very durable and have a much better look. For outdoors I like Correct Deck or Evergrain. They hold up better than most of the composites and have a good price.

Composite Decking for Outdoor Indoor Use
by: Editor - Rich Bergman

There are so many different composite decking materials available on the market today.

They are principally designed for outdoor use, not indoor use. It sounds like you wish to use the same material for both outside and inside.

If you provide a little more detail I might be able to offer some better comments for you.
