A simple question I think, are there any building code requirements concerning the thickness of the concrete pad the bottom of the steps rest on ?
These are steps off a rear deck. The deck surface is four feet above grade the steps will be forty eight inches wide with three stringers. I was thinking to build a form three feet by five feet using two by four lumber. Would the three and a half inch thickness be adequate ?
