Post Anchor for Posts with Sail Shades

I would like to install posts on my deck outside (concrete pebble layer). I will be attaching a large eye hook at the top to hang sail shades from. My question is can I use the titan post anchor for posts with sail shades.

Since I will only be mounting from the ground and not have anything at the top of the post, will you system be enough to hold the post in place with the side weight of the sail and the wind pulling on it?

Mounting to the concrete is a simple procedure. However as a total stand alone post at 6' or 7' I would not recommend the 4x4 titan post anchor.

We have lots of engineering showing compliance at 36" in guard rail applications so that is not a problem.

Shade sail posts must perform at an extreme level. The regular Titan Wood Post Anchor has been optimized for cost and performance when used with residential one and two family residential dwellings. However, because of people like you asking to use wood posts for shade sails, the folks at that R&D department at Titan Building Products have been working on a brand new kind of surface mount wood post anchor for extreme performance, like shade sails.

They are releasing a new post anchor call the Titan Evolution wood post anchor later in 2017. This has been under three years of development and 6x6 stand alone posts are holding in excess of 820 lbs of lateral load. It will work on wood and concrete surfaces. This is the kind of product you would want for that kind of application.
