Would like to know if there are any distributors or dealers of the Titan Post Anchor in Australia as i need this particular application in a design i am working on.

Hi Chris

Not sure where the shipping price of $85 comes from. $85 NZ would equate to around 9-10 anchors being shipped which is over 10kg of product (around a weeks shipping time). This is around 25% of the product price (unless of course items are on sale). Shipment of lighter items(skirts, tools etc) is obviously a lot less relative to their value.

Of course if you want the product within 2-3 days via Fedex then the price is going to get up a bit (around double).

The price of shipping to Australia is actually cheaper, given GST isn't charged on them, than shipping inter-Island in NZ (this is a bit of a simplification .. for smaller orders this applies while for bigger orders it can reverse). If you have a multi unit order then always drop us a note before ordering to see if we can optimise the shipping price (the online shipping database has to make certain simplifications where sometimes we 'win' and sometimes we 'lose'!).

Given the GST savings in Australia and current shipping costs we face we don't think it will be much cheaper (if at all) dispatching within Australia. Its the byproduct of having a well made product that is fairly hefty.

We are always considering the options and looking to a more cost effective way to bring products into NZ and Australia and appreciate the feedback.

Shipping is very expensive. $85 to Australia is as much as the order itself. You really need a distributor in OZ as there is a gap in the market for nice looking anchors. The Pryda stuff is ugly and nothing else comes close. I have been searching for ages but can't find anything.

Thanks for your question. I am working with a couple companies right now who are well established in the building products and decking materials business in Australia.

Hope to have this settled in the next month or two as this will save people a lot of money on shipping from the US.
