UltraDeck Quickcap questions...

I was designing a deck using Menard's deck design software and started using the UltraDeck Quickcap but found out it was for resurfacing an old deck and not for building a new deck.

Is it possible to use the UltraDeck Quickcap composite for a new deck? If so, why not? I'm trying to keep cost low but would like to use composite if it's possible.

How’d this go? I bought a bunch of quick cap as a campsite decking and then realized afterwards… I plan to use it anyway… I figured it’s thinner so maybe put the joists closer together? Did you use it and did it work?
